Cleveringa’s koffer $42.75 November 26th 1940 is a prominent date in Dutch history. On that day, the Leiden professor mr. R.P. How to Write Profitable Adverts for the Internet.
The most important aspect of any business is selling the product or service. Without sales you might as well give up. All sales begin with some form of advertising. If your potential customers do not know your products exist then you will soon be out of business.
Grabbing the reader's attention is your first objective.
If you do not do this then everything else you do will be a complete waste of time. Your reader is 'scanning' their e-mail boxes or the classified and message boards. Make your ad stand out. Make them wont to stop and read more!! Most of the ads you see are the same as each other. They have the same words re arranged. The reader will see with his eyes but if there is nothing new there to make them stop for a longer look. You have lost them. Grab their attention!
The first 2 or 3 words are the most important. After that you need to keep their attention. Promise them something. Tell them what your product can do for them. How will they benefit from your product. Such words as: FREE¡K.Win¡K Make Great Money.. will make them stop for a second or two. Then you need to keep them there. Right you've got your customers' attention, you've told them you have something that will make money for them and that it is 10 easy steps. Now you need to take the time to convince the customer that they really want to have this product. Make them desire it, want it. Give them more details. SAFELISTS.
YOU CAN NOT SPAM. It is illegal and very annoying. You will be reported by those you e-mail and could have your service suspended or worse cancelled. There are plenty of Safe Lists out there who are willing and interested to get your e-mails. USE THEM!! A Safelist is a List of names and e-mail addresses that you can join. Most of these are FREE. You are allowed to send out ads to the list. In return you accept that you will be willing to receive the ads from the other members on that list.
You sign up by filling out an application form. They send you an e-mail to confirm you are at that address. You click on a link and this confirms your application. All of these lists have varying amounts of people on them. Let's say your list has 2,000 people on it. You only have to write out your ad once and press the 'Send' button. All the people have been e-mailed but you. Depending on what List you join you can send out ads as often as once a day, or 3 days, or 7 days.
If you agree to become a PRO, EXECUTIVE or Gold member by paying a subscription then you can e-mail more often. Here are a few I am involved with. I find these ones the best for me. It gives you a list of over 400 safe lists. You fill out a form ONCE, yes only once. You pick the ones you want to join. You can go for all the free ones by pressing a button. Or you can look at them individually. Like what you see? Then press the button ' Join 'and they do it for you automatically. Then comes the really fun part. You can write up a number of adverts. Save them on a file. Press another button, ' Today's Listing'. The computer will then automatically send out all the e-mails to each and every safe list you have joined. Another feature is that the computer keeps a record of who is a 24hrs posting, 2 days, 5 days or 7 days posting. They will not allow you to post until the time is correct, therefore saving you lots more time. You can decide to join paying safe lists too if you wish and mix them up together. These can be profitable if used correctly. I find the best way is to advertise your Product Headline here and brief description. Enough to get your potential customer to want to see more. You can then direct them to your web site by a link. This will have more details and a method for them to ACT NOW. They can buy instantly from your site using your PayPal Button.

There is one major advantage that classifieds have over the other forms of advertising. Your advertisement will be put into a category. When your potential customer arrives at your ad they have already decided they 'want' or 'need' that particular product. It is up to you to overwhelm them with your ad so that it is you they buy from and not the next business on that list. Take time to decide which heading is most appropriate for your product, it does make a big difference.
You can test these categories by 'Coding ' your ad in each Category. That way when the orders start to come in you will know from which section it was successful. You can change a few words for each different section so that you can recognise where it came from. Always write these codes down. No matter how much you tell yourself you will remember, YOU WILL NOT. A few minutes organisation at the beginning of your ad campaign will save you hours of wasted time later.
Message Boards and Newsgroups.
These are not so straightforward. You can not just go ahead and write an advertisement for these. You will not be welcome. But what you can do is join a news group that has something in common with the product you wish to sell. Join in the discussion and get your name known as an expert on the subject. Once you have built up a rapport with the group you could suggest that if anyone was interested in more Free information or a product they could visit your website. Leave your web address in a casual manner, not like you are writing a dynamic advertisement. Most Newsgroups run on the same principal.
It is very important to target your market when using these two methods. It is time consuming but if you have the right audience it really is well worth it.
FFA Sites.
Not so sure about the effectiveness of these. But I will explain about them and let you make up your own mind. They are Free For All Message sites. There are thousands of them. To find them. Go to your search engine and type in FFA Sites. Take your pick. It takes time and depending on the ones you use you might only get a short while on it until other ads come along and knock you off the site.
