Re-Living The Past By Decorating Log Cabin Homes
A few months ago, you browsed cyberspace to choose log cabin homes for sale. After a painstaking search, you finally spotted a cabin that is perfect for you. You completed arrangements with the supplier, signed a contract, and finished the requirements. After a few weeks of construction and a month or two of allowing the structure to settle down, the cabin is ready for occupancy.
But wait! You have no clue on how to decorate the cheap log cabin so that it would evoke a peaceful, country, and relaxing feel. Well, no need to sulk around. Here are some clever suggestions.
1. Furniture
Furniture pieces made of wood are ideal for your new home. Beds that are hand-carved from logs and treated with lacquer go very well with your wooden home. Wooden benches, accent tables, and cabinets are excellent pieces that contribute to a countryside atmosphere. If you want to break the monotony of wood, you can include wrought iron furniture such as coat racks, magazine stands, and corner shelves.
2. Lighting
Induce a natural, charming, and classic atmosphere with the correct use of lighting. Place wrought iron chandeliers with faux electric candles to create a pioneer look. Metal or glass lanterns or shades on top of side tables or the fireplace mantel provide the room a gentle, warm glow. For decorative light, purchase delicate punched tin lanterns or small tea lights.

5. Accessories
On your center or dining table, put big clay crocks that hold dried herbs or flowers. Place antique plates and serving dishes inside glass cabinets. Attach vintage fishing poles, paddles, buckets, and lures on the walls. Put tree stumps, stuffed toys, throw pillows, or even oddly shaped stones near the main door.
