Less successful when it’s sentimental (Waylon Jennings’ “My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys”) than when it’s wry (Willie Nelson’s myth-puncturing “Me and Paul”), this cash-in compilation of previously released cuts was just in time to grab the first platinum record ever awarded a country album. It’s not bad, but both Jennings’ contemporaneous Dreaming My Dreams and Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger are…

Jewelry Boxes For Women: Building Up a Mesmerizing Royal Collection

Jewelry was and is an essential part of the royal families across the world. Queens and princesses had a number of heirlooms that were passed on from one generation to the next. Among all the royal families, jewelry boxes for women that made up the British royal family had the most brilliant collections.

Princess Diana remained a celebrity in her life and now even in her death. She had some pieces of jewelry that were always preferred over others. Several members of the royal family gifted these different pieces to her. She often wore The Queen Mary tiara.

Her favorites also included an emerald and diamond choker. She also had a large sapphire set into a brooch and which she later chose to wear as a pearl choker. The royal family has a number of pieces that came down the generations.

In 1820, The George IV State diadem was made and this had 1333 diamonds as well as 169 pearls placed on its base. During their coronations, both Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II wore this one. George III owned the Russian Fringe Tiara. A number of Queens Consorts wore this till Queen Victoria finally changed it to a tiara at a later point.

In 1919, The Queen Mary Fringe Tiara was made for Queen Mary. These were created from diamonds belonging to George III and some that were used from the tiara of Queen Victoria. This particular piece has quite a long heritage with it being passed from Princess Elizabeth to Princess Anne.

The Vladimir Tiara was purchased in 1921 by Queen Mary from Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia. This was then altered to fit in 15 Cambridge Cabochon emeralds. Elizabeth II's grandmother bequeathed this to her and it is only worn with the Cambridge and the Delhi Durbar Parure. Elizabeth the II wore this tiara for her official photograph as the Queen of Canada.

It was in 1973 that Elizabeth II ordered the Burmese Ruby Tiara. The design by Garrard & Co. was in the form of a wreath of roses. Clusters with rubies and gold for center of the roses were fashioned and the petals were made of diamonds and silver. A total of 96 diamonds sourced from Elizabeth's own private collection were used in the creation of this piece in addition to rubies and the diamonds. The people of Burma gifted the rubies to her on her wedding day and that is how the name came about.

The King George VI Chandelier Earrings has a number of diamonds that are cut in myriad ways. They are finished with 3 sets of diamonds cut in every conceivable way. Her parents gifted Princess Elizabeth these. The Queen Anne and Queen Caroline Pearl Necklaces collectively are worth around £4,000,000. They are an individual row of massive graduated pearls along with pearl clasps. This necklace is believed to be a part of Queen Anne’s collection.

The royal family collections are gorgeous and will definitely go down in the records of history. Having imitation jewelry just like it can be quite thrilling.

New - The interaction between clerics and warfare was a source of constant tension, debate, and conflict in the Middle Ages. From an early period within the Church, there were reform forces that sought to disassociate clerics from violence and secular military affairs. These reform attempts grew in intensity during the tenth and eleventh centuries, and were finally codified in the canon law collections of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. This highly prescriptive view has become the foundati
