Disney’s 1959 animated effort was the studio’s most ambitious to date, a widescreen spectacle boasting a gorgeous waltz-filled score adapting Tchaikovsky. In the 14th century, the malevolent Maleficent (not dissimilar to the wicked Queen in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs taunts a king that his infant Aurora will fatally prick her finger on a spinning wheel before sundown on her 16th birt…

The perennial sci-fi franchise is reinvigorated, courtesy of “Lost” creator J.J. Abrams. Reckless Starfleet cadet James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), logical Vulcan instructor Spock (Zachary Quinto), down-and-out doc Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban), and the rest of the Enterprise crew come together for the first time to stop a vengeful Romulan (Eric Bana) who’s traveled back in time, creating an altern…

Video Production Business Tips - How to Market When You Have More Time Than Money

When it comes to marketing your video business, do you have more time than money?

Are you looking for low-cost marketing strategies that will help you effectively promote your products and services? Of course you are! Who isn't?

Here's part of an email I received from a videographer with the same concern. 1

"Right now one of our biggest challenges is determining the best marketing mix to use given a very limited marketing budget. I am sure there are a lot of other videographers in the same situation and I expect you may have faced the same situation previously. I know that the answer is very dependent on the market you are in etc., but some guidance of what worked for you in the beginning would be very interesting I believe. When you are on a tight budget it is scary when you are trying to pick the right prospects to market to and then choose which marketing tools have the highest probability of being successful." 1

In a sluggish economy, it's difficult to justify spending even one dollar on marketing your video business. So, with that in mind, I'd like to introduce a few marketing tactics I've used over the years that will take time for you to implement but will be easy on the check book. 1. Business Networking Events - The best and most effective low-cost marketing tactic to use when your goal is generating new business is networking with other professionals at business or industry related meetings. If you are just getting started with your video business, attend as many of these as you can with the goal of meeting as many people as possible. Networking meetings usually cost less than $20 to attend and if you make it your goal to meet at least 3 new people every time you go, your network of prospects and referral partners will grow substantially over the course of several months. More people in your network equals more money in your bank account.

2. Requesting Referrals From Existing Customers - One of the easiest yet most overlooked source of new business is getting referrals from your existing customers. If you don't already have a system in place for requesting referrals from these people, you are losing thousands of dollars in additional revenue potential for every customer that you have. I make it my goal to get at least one new account via referral from every customer. For more information visit Videography services Toronto

3. Requesting and Attending Meetings With Vendors Who Serve The Same Target Market As You - If you are a wedding videographer, you are probably familiar with the importance of meeting with as many coordinators and photographers as possible so that they'll refer you to their clients. The same goes for corporate video production. Think about the businesses that serve the same clients as you and request meetings to discuss how you can work together to help each other generate more business.

Excerpt: Disney's 101 Dalmatians: The Series 101 Dalmatians: The Series is a 1997 animated television series produced by The Walt Disney Company , and based on the classic 1961 Disney animated feature One Hundred and One Dalmatians and its 1996 live-action remake.Premise The show focuses primarily on three particular puppies: Lucky , TV expert and leader and canine Tom Sawyer ; loyal, scholarly, and always-hungry brother Rolly ; and their outspoken New Age guru sister, the runt Cadpig . They're joined by colorful friends like Spot , the chicken who wants to be a dog and a member of the "Bark Brigade." Early promotional material listed "dictatorial Penny and mischievous Patch" as two other puppy cast members, but the highlighted puppies were whittled down to three.Other puppies appearing in the show have included the brave three-legged Tripod, Dipstick, the constantly-urinating Wizzer, and their sister Two-Tone . The show seems to be a blending of both the original animated film and the live action feature, so the potential exists for other puppies from the films to appear, especially Freckles, and Pepper (animated), and Jewel and Fidget (live action).Production Originally intended to be titled Dalmatians 101 , it was changed to 101 Dalmatians: The Series just before its premiere.101 Dalmatians: The Series debuted in syndication on September 1, 1997, running new episodes five days
