Video Games May Lead To Marriage Problems
The old saying says that the only difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys, and many married women find out just how true this can be by learning a hard lesson Video games and other games like basketball and golf are appealing to men of all ages. There's no problem playing these games as long as it's done in moderation. It's a great way to wind down after a hard day of work. However, when he begins to play anything to excess where it starts infringing on his time with you and his family, then it's time to call it quits. Indirectly, video games can easily ruin even the best marriage.
Experts can't seem to agree on whether video gaming has become a real addiction though. However, spending a lot of time playing and developing different strategies bears resemblance to addiction though. Efforts to control gaming addiction include different types of therapy sessions, from individual to group to couples therapy. The marriage could end up being destroyed if the addiction continues. The easiest way to deal with excessive gaming is by keeping it from happening in the first place. It will be very difficult to change your husband's video gaming habits in the future.
